Annaréne Rossouw

Facility Manager

Annaréne dreams of reshaping perceptions about mental health. She envisions being the catalyst for change, guiding individuals to find purpose and embrace life with the mantra, “One life, live it!”

Background:

Annaréne was born with an innate curiosity for psychiatry, always finding human behaviour the most intriguing subject. Her journey began with a qualification as a pharmacist assistant in the Health Pharm Group, now known as Parow Family Pharmacy in Cape Town. Her passion for serving people evolved when she managed her own restaurant for over 10 years, deeply fascinated by human behaviour.

History:

Annaréne’s quest for understanding human behaviour led her to pursue higher education part-time at the AP Akademie in Pretoria in 2012. She successfully completed her psychology degree in 2018. In 2014/2015, she delved into the study of forensics, covering forensic analysis, advanced body language, facial expression, and lie detection.

During the challenging times of 2020 amid the COVID-19 pandemic, Annaréne utilized the time to further her knowledge. She completed a two-year course with Marisa Peer, known as Britain’s best therapist, specializing in hypnosis as a Rapid Transformation Therapist (RTT).

Training:

Annaréne’s educational journey includes a psychology degree, forensics study, and specialized training in hypnosis as an RTT with Marisa Peer.

Aspirations:

Her dream is to change how the world perceives mental health. Annaréne aspires to be the catalyst for this change, helping individuals discover their sense of belonging and encouraging them to embrace the process of building the life they want to live. In her own words, “One life, live it!”

Fasheegah Van Der Lily

Facility Receptionist & PA to Annaréne

“Your Attitude Determines your Altitude.”

Background:

Fasheegah Van Der Lily, born in 1996 at Somerset Hospital, Cape Town, is the third of four children, consisting of three girls and one boy. She spent her early years in Bonteheuwel before settling in her current hometown of Manenberg, where her grandmother used to reside.

History:

Fasheegah completed her schooling in Manenberg and secured a job in the pharmaceutical industry at GSK after matriculating. She worked as a Den Blanken operator, specializing in the Grandpa powder machine, for two and a half years. Leaving the agency, she furthered her education by completing a Homebase care course at YMCA.

Training:

In April 2021, Fasheegah joined Protea Memory Clinic as a carer, demonstrating her passion for providing compassionate care to individuals with dementia. Her dedication and commitment led to a promotion in January 2023, where she assumed the role of a front desk and Personal Assistant to the Head of Operations.

Aspirations:

Fasheegah lives by the motto, “YOUR ATTITUDE DETERMINES YOUR ALTITUDE,” showcasing her positive mindset and determination to reach new heights in both her personal and professional life.

PMC Nurses

Botha

Senior Registered Nurse

Background:

Sr. Botha, born and raised in Gauteng within a loving family, carries a rich familial legacy. Her father, a school principal with a UCT education, instilled a love for learning. Sr. Botha has two older brothers—one a geologist who left a significant impact at a young age, and the other an engineer. Her resilient mother, a dedicated house executive, stands strong at 91. Happily married to Desmond, whom she met at university, Sr. Botha treasures her role as a mother of a teenager and a grandmother of three beautiful grandchildren (Mienke 5, Erik 2, and Milah 2), cherishing the blessings of her close-knit and loving family.

History:

Celebrating 40 years of marriage to Desmond (as of 2024), Sr. Botha and her husband share the joy of witnessing their sons, Raymond and Erik, build their own families with Irene and Jean, respectively. The Botha family remains tightly connected, navigating life’s journey together.

Training:

Educationally rooted, Sr. Botha and her siblings, graduates of Randburg High School, matriculated at Randburg and pursued studies at RAU. With a four-and-a-half-year course in B Curr nursing, Sr. Botha is registered as a general nurse, psychiatric nurse, community health, and midwifery. Her nursing career spans across notable institutions, including JG Strydom Hospital in paediatrics, Sandton Clinic, and various medical centers in Gauteng and Cape Town. Her compassionate contributions also extended to Durbanville Children’s Home and Magdalena Home, where she engaged in marketing and event planning for fundraising.

Aspirations:

At the core of Sr. Botha’s aspirations is the desire to make a positive impact on others. Her mission is to bring light into the darkness, spread joy, and cultivate a culture of love and care within her family. Her ultimate wish is for her children and grandchildren to lead fulfilled lives, becoming sources of joy for others while nurturing a profound love for each other.


She embodies the philosophy that treasures in life surpass material possessions, living by the sentiment: “The best things in life are not things”.

Groenewald

Senior Registered Nurse

Sr. Groenwald’s goal is always deliver her best under all circumstances and not be defeated by setbacks.

Background:

Sr. Groenewald is a mother of three children and a grandmother of two grandchildren. She grew up in the Eastern Cape, attended school in Humansdorp, and matriculated there.

History:

Sr. Groenewald completed her General Nursing and Midwifery Training at the former PE Provincial Hospital and Sharley Cribb Nursing College. She also finished her Psychiatric Training at Sterkfontein Hospital in Krugersdorp. Later, she obtained a Certificate in Occupational Health from the then Pretoria Technikon. Since 2009, she has been working full-time in Geriatric Nursing.

Training:

Sr. Groenewald completed her General Nursing and Midwifery Training at the former PE Provincial Hospital and Sharley Cribb Nursing College. Additionally, she finished her Psychiatric Training at Sterkfontein Hospital in Krugersdorp. Later, she obtained a Certificate in Occupational Health from the then Pretoria Technikon.

Aspirations:

Goliath

Senior Registered Nurse

Sr. Goliath aspires to continue making a positive impact in the field of nursing.

Background:

Dr. Daniela Weyers Goliath, a proud Capetonian, was born and bred in the vibrant city. She embarked on her nursing journey by obtaining a diploma from CPUT/Nico Malan. Early in her career, Dr. Goliath contributed her skills to the paediatric ICU at the Red Cross Hospital, showcasing her dedication to the well-being of children.

History:

After three years, she embarked on an international nursing adventure in Saudi Arabia, only to have her plans redirected by the joyous news of expecting her first child. Following this, Sr. Goliath became an integral part of the home nursing department at Pathcare, gaining valuable experience in diverse healthcare settings.

 

Her love for psychiatry blossomed during her tenure at Claro clinic, marking a significant chapter in her professional journey. Sr. Goliath’s commitment to elderly care led her to work with a nursing agency, serving various old age homes. Her unwavering dedication to the field has remained steadfast over the years.

Training:

Sr. Goliath’s nursing diploma from CPUT/Nico Malan laid the foundation for her illustrious career. Her diverse experience spans paediatric ICU, home nursing, and psychiatry, showcasing her versatility and passion for healthcare.

Aspirations:

As a proud mother of two wonderful boys, Sr. Goliath aspires to continue making a positive impact in the field of nursing. Her dedication to psychiatry and elderly care reflects her commitment to enhancing the well-being of those she serves.

 

Sr. Goliath’s journey is characterized by her love for psychiatry. As a devoted “boy mom,” she finds joy and fulfilment in her family life, which undoubtedly influences her approach to patient care.

 

Sr. Daniela Weyers Goliath embodies the spirit of compassionate healthcare, making significant contributions to the nursing profession with her diverse experiences and unwavering commitment.

Johline Magerman

Enrolled Nurse Assistant ( ENA )

Johline is unwaveringly dedicated to providing exceptional care and support to those in need.

Background:

Johline Lizetha Magerman, born in 1970 in Nelspoort, Beaufort West, relocated to Westlake with her family. Her father managed Dr. Stalls Hospital, and her mother worked as a staff nurse. She attended Heathfield High School with her siblings, later moving to various locations, including Kraaifontein.

History:

Johline completed her school career at Scottsville Secondary in Kraaifontein and pursued Carer and Nursing training at Zerilda Steyn CPOA. After marriage, she and her husband Cedric were blessed with three children, Damian, Mcneil, and Euodia. Her husband works at KBH, dedicated to providing love, care, support, and a helping hand to others.

Her love for psychiatry blossomed during her tenure at Claro clinic, marking a significant chapter in her professional journey. Sr. Goliath’s commitment to elderly care led her to work with a nursing agency, serving various old age homes. Her unwavering dedication to the field has remained steadfast over the years.

Training:

Johline studied B Curr nursing, completing a four-and-a-half-year course. She is registered as a general nurse, psychiatric nurse, community health, and midwifery. Johline worked in various medical centres in Gauteng and Cape Town, including Durbanville Children’s Home and Magdalena Home, where she also handled marketing and events to raise funds.

Johline lives by the philosophy of reaching for the stars, leaving the past behind, and extending herself towards what lies ahead. She believes that God determines her path.

Aspirations:

Johline and her husband Cedric share a profound passion for giving back and caring for those in need, values deeply embedded in their household. This commitment to compassion and support extends beyond their family life into their professional endeavours.

 

Every day, Johline brings this heartfelt sentiment to her work at Protea Memory Clinic, where she is unwaveringly dedicated to providing exceptional care and support to those in need. Together, she and her husband embody the spirit of care, love, and generosity, creating a warm and supportive environment both at home and in their community.
